Sale price$4,399.00 Regular price$4,480.00

  • ETA: Late October
  • Bonus: Beidou Powerpads & Seat included with every order
  • What's New: The Sherman-P combines the best features from Leaperkim's entire high-performance lineup to create the ultimate value performance machine: the Oryx's long-range, high voltage battery, the Lynx-S' industry-leading motor, suspension, & features, and the Sherman-L's balanced form factor.
  • Motor: 3,800W (10kW peak) C42 high-torque motor from the Lynx-S, re-wound specifically for the Sherman-P to allow for an increase in both torque and top speed when paired with the 176V battery system.
  • Suspension: Improved from the Lynx-S with stiffer shocks, following rider feedback. Retains the adjustable compression and rebound damping on both shocks, along with air chambers to fine-tune the damping response. Available in three different spring weights, 62lb/66lb/70lb
  • Weight: Despite having a larger battery pack than the P6, its weight of 114lbs is comparable thanks to Leaperkim's widespread use of a magnesium alloy and lightweight, durable plastics. The smaller motor diameter and more compact construction saves over 10lbs compared to the Oryx.
  • Battery Pack: High-power Samsung 50S 4,700Wh/176V battery pack, with SmartBMS, capable of rapid-charging to 20A, over 3.5kW!
  • Controller: Same proven Lynx-S controller, 36x MOFSETs on separated Driverboard, with an increased max current rating of 960A at 176V vs 840A at 151V.
  • Tire: TNT tubeless street or tubeless knobby, based on the highly popular Pilot Street 2 and Shinko 244 tires respectively. Also available is the tubeless hybrid tire, introduced on the NOSFET Xeno.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the key upgrades of the Sherman-P compared to the Sherman-L, Lynx-S, and Oryx? The Sherman-P actually pulls features from all of those models, combining their best aspects to form one "do-it-all" performance Wheel. It uses the higher-voltage large battery packs of the Oryx, many features from the Lynx-S including the new controller, motor, suspension, headlight, and folding kickstand, and some features from the Sherman-L like the folding trolley handle and overall form factor. The suspension and motor are slightly altered compared to their Lynx-S counterparts though, as the coils are stiffer and the motor is wound different to provide the optimal mix of torque and speed.

Is the Sherman-P a P6 competitor? How does it stack up? While the performance & top speed of Inmotion's P6 remains unmatched, the Sherman-P will get you most of the way there at a lower price point, and it even outshines the P6 in some areas. Leaperkim claims a higher peak torque figure than Inmotion does, at 351Nm compared to 300Nm on the P6, but it's yet to be seen whether this translates to a real-world difference. Some may prefer the Sherman-P's superior out-of-the-box feature set, which includes adjustable pedal height, a folding kickstand, and built-in toe hooks/jump pads. Lastly, while the P6 offers more settings and finer control, there's also a reliability argument to be made for Leaperkim's slightly lower-tech approach.

What stock charger is provided? How fast can the Sherman-P rapid-charge? It will ship with a 5A charger in the box, just like the Oryx. For faster charging, one can purchase a second 5A stock charger for double the charging speed. The Sherman-P can handle up to a whopping 20A charge rate, but you'll need access to 220V power to charge at such a speed without tripping the breaker.

How does the suspension work? Similar to the Lynx-S, both shocks are identical, as they each have a compression and damping rebound adjustments, and their own air chambers. Both shocks needs to be adjusted identically, though, so the same adjustments need to be made to both shocks at the same time. If you suspect they've gotten out of sync, you can simply adjust both shocks to the maximum clockwise or counterclockwise setting, and adjust them equally from there. Choosing the correct suspension coil weight is important on the Sherman-P, as the shocks lack a coil preload adjustment, but the bottom air chamber pressure can be adjusted to tune the bottom-out response/feel.

Who is the Sherman-P for? The fact that the Sherman-P is largely comprised of the latest & greatest parts from other Leaperkim Wheels is precisely what makes it appealing. If you like the Lynx-S but wish it was faster & had a longer range, or if you like the Oryx but wish it wasn't so large & heavy, or if you like the Sherman-L but have been waiting for a "generational upgrade", the Sherman-P is the perfect Wheel for you. It also offers a great value proposition for riders that are looking for top-of-the-line performance, but don't need the insane top speed that the P6 provides.

What's the top speed? Since the Sherman-P was just announced, its top speed has yet to be tested. However, it's expected to be capable of reaching or even exceeding 65mph, thanks to the higher-voltage 176V system borrowed from the Oryx, which itself can achieve between 60-65mph under the right conditions.

How does the adjustable pedal height work? The system is much the same as on the Oryx & Lynx-S. There are several screws holding the pedal brackets to the sides of the Wheel, these can be unscrewed, and the brackets can be mounted in one of two positions. There are indentations on the side casings, to help with alignment, and reduce shear stress on the bolts when the brackets are installed.

What range figures can one expect from the Sherman-P?
Wheel range is impacted by several factors, including rider weight, tire pressure, terrain, and most importantly average riding speed. If riding at a conservative pace, below 20mph, one could theoretically achieve over 100 miles of range! Even if riding the wheel at decent clip for the entire ride, one can still expect at least 55-60 fast miles.

How weather-resistant is the Sherman-P? Like other recent Leaperkim releases, the Sherman-P has a claimed IPX6 rating. However, the general rule of mixing Wheels and water remains the same: light rain and small puddles should be alright, but it's best to avoid moderate to heavy rain and deep/large puddles. The improved bearing seals present on the rest of Leaperkim's lineup are also used on the Sherman-P to decrease the chance of weather affecting bearing wear prematurely.
