Choosing between the High-Speed & High-Torque

Understanding the Difference Between Motor Types:
The Extreme Bull Commander is offered in both a High-Speed (C30) & High-Torque (C38). Each motor type has particular strengths & trade-offs. In the case of the High-speedm it is able to achieve about 3-4 MPH higher speeds, up to 47MPH, but has less umph/torque for acceleration & climbing power.
With the High-Torque version—with more copper windings within the motor & hence stronger pulling force—there is a discernible increase in torque, particularly at lower rotational speeds, which translates into more get-up-and-go off the line, but does not have the same maximum speed potential, around 37MPH recommended cruising speed.
Features of the Commander
Excellent Range
Equipped with a 3,600Wh battery pack, the Commander offers an extraordinary range figure for the value. No other wheel can match its price-to-capacity ratio, making this an excellent choice for anyone looking to put down some miles on a budget. In addition, all of our Commanders come with LiTech battery packs preinstalled, which are safer, higher quality, and more resilient than the factory offering.
Lighting
Dual headlights offer excellent illumination for night riding, which combine to form a long-throw narrow beam. Atmospheric accent lighting on the front and rear of the wheel improve visibility, while also offering a way to customize your wheel's appearance.
Bluetooth Speakers
A pair of rear-firing Bluetooth speakers allow you to listen to music while riding, a feature that's included on fewer and fewer wheels nowadays. Another benefit of having built-in speakers is the ability to route alarm sounds from your favorite riding companion app to the wheel, which eliminates the need for in-helmet speakers to hear your custom alarms.
Built-in Display
An integrated display on the top of the wheel shows all of the key info you need, including your current speed, battery level, mileage, and riding mode. Settings changes can be performed at a standstill via the app, but the display makes it easy to keep an eye on your speed and state of charge without having to hold a phone in your hand.
Accesories & Reliability
Every Commander comes with a 5A (500W) charger, as well as a set of power pads, which are essential from extracting maximum braking and acceleration performance from the machine, especially with the HT version. The Commander is build on a solid & proven 100V platform that has had several years to mature, making it a great option if reliability is a concern.

Extreme Wheels Technical Comparison
All New Battery Packs
Our Commanders are fitted with an all new battery architecture in an attempt to improve battery safety, reliability & longevity of the most expensive component found in a Wheel. These are produced exclusively for us by LiTech Power, according to a stringent set of requirements to provide the safest battery packs found today in an Electric Unicycle.
About LiTech Power:
– Founded in 2002, 18 years of operation
– Over 350 employees, with R&D offices in the China & Germany
– Production of over 540,000 >1kWh packs each year
Here is an overview summary of the new improvements & capabilities found in these battery packs:
- Imported Korean Samsung 50E cells—the Begode packs use the LG M50LT, which are comparable, but made in China…
- Short detection/protection, transient threshold at 300-450A
- Back up inline 30A physical fuses
- Each pack fitted with 5x temperature probes & buzzers to alert at a 65°C level & shut-off when the temps exceed 75°C
- Voltage differential management for packs of unequal voltage, no balance lead required
- Improved cell-holders for better survivability in the event of crash
- Upgraded pure nickel strips that are both thicker & wider to withstand higher currents with less resistance—Begode had used ‘inferior plated’ strips on at some of their packs
- Automated weld production methods for consistent quality
- Capacity & stress-testing processe done at the pack level after assembly
