Sale price$3,499.00

  • ETA, first production expected to arrive by mid-December
  • Price, not yet set in stone, but estimated to be $3,499. With a $500 depoit, & $3,000 balance prior to shipping out.
  • What's New: similar to the Blitz, the Begode XWay is Begode's latest off-road/trail Wheel that also uses extensive magnesium within the motor, frame & battery boxes to shed some of the weight of previous models. By way of comparison, despite having 600Wh more capacity than the Master V4 & a much more powerful motor, the net weight of the Wheel is 3.5lb less.
  • Motor: 4,500W extra high-torque motor, with the same 93.2MPH ‘no-load’ race spin rate as the Blitz.
  • Battery Pack: high-power Samsung 50S 3,000Wh/168V battery pack, with SmartBMS, capable of rapid-charging to 20A/3,360W.
  • Electronics: latest generation controller (now with data-logging!), charge-board, all new display.
  • Suspension: building on the success of the in-house designed DS200 shock, the shock is the DS210-65A, fitted with a spring for improved , with limitless customizability for each Rider's requirements.
  • Tire: currently planned with the CST C-186 (knobby) tire, other options may be available closer to production date.

Achievement of Weight Reduction

The development path on the X-Way took a similar trajectory of the Blitz, how to produce a Wheel that was both lighter & more powerful than previous generation Master & Extreme. Here, the Begode R&D team were able to produce a Wheel that is 3.5lb lighter, while increasing the performance/torque with a 3,000Wh 50S battery pack & extremely high torque 4,500W motor. Are notable upgrades are: SmartBMS, upgraded charge-board, all new display, best-of-class suspension, & more power potential.

This was achieved through the extensive use of magnesium alloy for the motor, battery boxes & other structural materials. Every component has been thoroughly examined to determine the optimal trade-off between strength & producing the lightest machine of this class ever released.

Included Power Pads

A good set of power pads is essential for utilizing all the power a Wheel has to offer, while also improving safety by keeping the rider "locked in" to the Wheel, especially during hard acceleration and braking. Because of this, we've partnered with renowned EUC accessories manufacturer Beidou to offer a set of their latest V2 universal power pads with every X-Way purchase!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the major differences between the Blitz & X-Way?According to Begode, the Blitz was developed as a racing wheel, while the X-Way was developed as a trail wheel. The Blitz's motor already offers astounding torque, reminiscent of the old RS19 High-Torque, but Begode is promising the X-Way will come equipped with a new C38 motor that will provide the most torque of any Begode motor to date! Other basic differences include a 168V system voltage compared to 134V on the Blitz (to offset the speed lost by winding the motor for more torque), a coil shock with easily adjustable travel and a 210mm eye to eye length vs the 200mm air shock on the Blitz, a return to the large 3-digit display from wheels like the EX30 and Falcon, and an included seat that folds up to double as the trolley handle.

How does the X-Way compare to the ET Max?The ET Max was designed to be a speed-focused wheel, ideal for cruising at high speeds, with less of an emphasis put on versatility. The X-Way was designed as a torque-focused wheel, hence Begode marketing this as an off-road wheel. The X-Way seems to combine the best features of both the ET Max and Blitz while also improving upon them, borrowing the 168V architecture (although with an improved controller design), display, and coil shock (slightly improved) from the ET Max, while borrowing the headlight and overall design philosophy from the Blitz.

When will the first batch production be shipping out?Production for the X-Way is already underway, so if all goes according to plan/taking into account historical data regarding production and shipping times, we're anticipating being able to start shipping these out to preorder holders before the end of 2024.

Is there a tubeless knobby tire option?Begode isn't currently planning to offer the X-Way with a tubeless tire, the plan is for them to install the usual Kenda K262 or CST C-186 tube-type tire on the first production run.

What is the maximum rate of charge? The X-Way will be capable of 20A rapid-charging, similar to what's offered on the ET Max and Blitz. It's advised not to charge above 10A through a regular household outlet, though, as trying to charge faster than that may trip the circuit breaker, 20A charging can be achieved with the optional 4580 Roger Charger when used with a 240V power source. By default, the X-Way will ship with the same 168V/5A charger as the ET Max.

Will the motor be the tile-motor?Begode is opting not to use the tile motor here, since they've reported that its efficiency hasn't been as high as traditional flat-magnet motors, despite what was initially expected. However, that's not to say the X-Way's motor will be inferior, quite the opposite actually, since as mentioned above, Begode has designed the X-Way motor to produce incredible torque that will exceed that of all their previous models.

Will the shock be offered with both the 900lb & 1,300lb spring? For this first production run, Begode is only offering a 1300lb coil shock option, however they're combining it with an adjustable-geometry linkage system to vary the supporting force, which allows for some adjustability based on rider weight. Later production batches may have the option of a 900lb shock installed from the factory, similar to what's offered on the ET Max and Extreme. However, given the ET Max and X-Way share a 210mm coil shock, it's possible the 900lb coil from the ET Max may fit, but testing would be required to verify this as the X-Way's shock is a new/incremental design.

Is it possible to use the air suspension, from the Blitz, on the XWay?We're currently investigating with Begode whether it's feasible to use the air shock from the Blitz on the X-Way, but the shocks differ in eye-to-eye length by 10mm, which may pose issues. However, in theory, one should be able to install any aftermarket 210mm air shock, assuming the shock itself doesn't physically interfere with the wheel/suspension linkage system. Some aftermarket shocks may also have the air valve(s) in a location that's inaccessible once installed in the wheel, so some options may not work.

Is the pedal height adjustable?Based on the info we have so far, the pedal height can be adjusted "Master Pro-style", meaning the pedals themselves are mounted to blocks that can be screwed into the sides of the wheel, into one of two positions (higher or lower).

Can I use the other Begode compatible CNC pedals on the X-Way bracket?Starting with the Blitz, Begode widened the pedal mounting points, meaning pedals that were designed for previous Begode offerings like the Falcon, EX30, and Master (among others) will not be compatible, this includes Begode's CNC pedals. As such, it appears that the X-Way is using the new pedals that were introduced on the Blitz. However, as aftermarket and potentially OEM pedal options become available for the Blitz, those will also be compatible with the X-Way.
