Frequently Asked Questions

What sets the Xeno apart from the Aeon & Aero? Similar to how the Aeon offers a spec bump and larger tire compared to the Aero, the Xeno does the same for the Aeon. Upgrades include an even larger tire for more stability, a higher top speed, a larger battery for improved range, and an improved taillight design. The Xeno also retains some of the Aeon's best features, such as multiple pedal overlays, ultra-reliable suspension with 90mm of travel, and an integrated flip-up trolley handle.

Who is the Xeno for? The Xeno is the latest addition to NOSFET's "lightweight performance" lineup, retaining the excellent reliability and quality that the Aeon & Aero are known for. At around 6-7lbs lighter than the Patton-S with similar battery and better top speed characteristics, the Xeno is ideal for riders who want the stability and speed of a larger-tire wheel without the weight penalty that typically comes with it.

Is the suspension on the Xeno reliable? Remarkably, we have not had a single reported shock issue or failure on the Aeon or Aero, making NOSFET's suspension choice reliable beyond what was previously thought to be possible! The Xeno uses similar shocks to the Aeon, with the same adjustability, reliability, and performance characteristics.

Which Powerpads will be included with the Aeon? Beidou is developing new pads for the Xeno, with bolt-on adjustable toe hooks, just like what's offered on all Leaperkim Wheels. We'll be including a set of these new pads with every Xeno.

How do the adjustable pedals work?Riders can choose between two pedal insert sizes, a smaller size for reducing the chance of a pedal strike, and a larger size for a more comfortable ride. The inserts are held to the pedal bases with two screws, making removal and installation quick and easy. This also means that you can replace the pedal inserts without having to replace the pedals, which is a plus for longevity and repairability.

What stock charger that is included & what is the maximum rate of charge? It comes with a stock 5A charger, & the maximum recommended rate of charge is 10A/1,260W, which would provide a charge time of around two hours. Thankfully, 126V is already a well-established voltage with lots of charger options, and we do offer several rapid-chargers capable of supplying up to 10A.

How weather resistant is the Xeno? The Xeno is claimed to share the Aeon's IPX6 rating, which indicates decent water resistance. However, the general rule for all wheels remains the same, which is that light rain and small puddles are okay, but moderate to heavy rain and larger bodies of water are to avoided wherever possible.

Included Power Pads

Similar to the Aeon's power pad setup, Beidou's latest design specifically for the Xeno includes a set of bolt-on toe hooks to ensure they remain firmly in place. The pad set also includes brake pads that attach to the trolley handle, and acceleration pads that mount to the body of the Wheel.
